Rebranded eviid targets insurers with evidential video application

The company behind an evidential video application is rebranding as it looks to build on its success in the third party administrator and loss adjusting markets.

YR Free Technologies is now known as Eviid, the name of its patented technology solution that aims to make smartphone footage suitable for capturing or streaming business-critical, sensitive or evidential information.

The London and Liverpool based company already numbers Chem Dry, Davies Group, Innovation Group, Questgates and Vericlaim among its insurance clients.

And having secured LV and Direct Group as customer it is now hoping to develop deeper links with the insurer and broker communities.

Founder and managing director John Ridd told Postonline:

“I was at an event recently with an insurer, and when they looked around the room they saw that six of their suppliers were already customers of ours, so they thought why should they not do business with us directly.

“I think many of the insurers we are talking too like the fact we are agnostic, independent and are not owned by a large technology or service provider. With us there are no conflicts as to own the data, it belongs to the customer.

Fellow founder and business development director Scott Bowers added:

“Another key benefit is that it is easy to integrate our technology into existing platforms whether it is Guidewire or Pulse through APIs or deep linking.

“So we are able to offer a transformational solution that offers full visibility of a claim and can significantly help bolster productivity at a cost which is not too much of a heavy burden to them.”

Eviid claims to be able to automatically turn videos and photos captured on a smart device into reliable evidence that is suitable for use in court, claims and compliance.

The firm also boasts that its technology enables live, secure and recorded video calls between field and base, and allows loss adjusters and inspectors to fill in digital forms on site, accept digital signatures from customers and make cost calculations remotely helping shorten the life cycle of claims.
