Prism Network, a UK provider of national disaster recovery and building repair services to the insurance and property sectors, has video-enabled its network of vetted contractors using patent-pending smartphone technology from eviid. For Prism and its client this means much shorter claims lifecycles, greater transparency throughout the supply chain, full audit trails, as well as compelling evidence in disputes.
Fraser Clark, Commercial Director at Prism Network, explains: “Prism Network have trialled a number of video options over the past 18 months and have now taken the decision to sign with eviid. Prism firmly believes the advancement in video technology helps to expedite the claims process, determining the scope and allowing informed decisions in hours not days or weeks.”
eviid provides a secure mobile video platform which allows the capture of video on premise, via standard smartphones or tablets. It also offers the ability to share a live feed with third parties. eviid records video and audio in automatic evidence mode, adding a tamper-evident wrapper of meta data to each frame and file. Footage is then compressed and automatically uploaded to a secure digital hub for access via existing claims platforms.
Scott Bowers, Business Development Director at eviid, commented: “We are delighted to welcome Fraser and the Prism Network team on board. eviid continues to attract new customers from the Insurance, Utilities and Social Housing sectors in particular, where our technology has hit a spot. We’re looking forward to becoming a part of the Prism journey and provide ever faster, ever better service to their customers.”
“The technology works well especially with simple property claims, and an ever increasing number of policy holders - comfortable using smart-phones devices - are happy to help in the process, experiencing an instant response and progress rather than waiting days for a surveyor to attend. Following Storm Doris and the forecast 300% increase in storm claims we are going to be very busy bedding the technology in over the coming weeks!” - Fraser Clark, Commercial Director at Prism Network
